The design was inspired by the Herabuna, a fish in the Lake Biwa system. The lure is set to generate a sharp vibration by utilizing the turbulent water flow that occurs behind the lure while cutting into it, rather than action by catching water. The design philosophy of eliminating excess resistance to achieve a comfortable reeling feel with little load and to accurately transmit only the lure action to the angler is the cornerstone of the lure development process. A wide rattle room is set up, which is hard to imagine from the exterior impression. The large diameter φ6 single brass ball produces a simple sound. It fully satisfies the long casting ability required of a vibration plug, and agitates water greatly with a slightly wide pitch wobbling action upon retrieve.
The posture of the Hera Vibe during the fall is the part that took the most time to balance in the production of the Hera Vibe. The free (curved) fall of the vibration, which is effective even on slack bass, is a well-known technique in Lake Biwa, and it can be said to be the most concentrated part of this lure's characteristics. The contrast of the action when the lure shifts from a wide pitch vibration to a free fall, and the way it falls with a slight sway and a slight forward tilt, creates a situation in which a bait fish that was actively swimming becomes aware of the presence of a bass and runs away, frightened. The bait fish will be aware of the bass's presence and will be frightened away. The bass, sensing that it has been noticed, will follow the faint vibration and switch on the capture mode at once.
