The GP Stain Reaction is a color scheme that has been featured in numerous classic models such as the first-generation DEEP-X and LIVE-X since the early 2000s.
It features the characteristic transparency of the GP (Guanium Phantom) base, combined with a color scheme that includes white-based pearl accents on the back and fluorescent orange accents on the belly. As its name suggests, it maintains a strong presence even in stained (murky) water and powerfully triggers reaction bites.
It pairs exceptionally well with lures designed to trigger reaction bites, such as crankbaits and jerkbaits. In the U.S., it has long been beloved particularly with the VISION ONETEN as a staple color with outstanding real-world performance, and it served as the inspiration for derivative colors like “Mat Stain Shad.”
Combining moderate appeal with the ability to avoid detection, this color has earned strong support from anglers who efficiently search vast fishing grounds, such as those found in the U.S.
