This enables a more powerful and smoother retrieve. Equipped with the Magnum Light Spool IV, which further enhances the spool's rotational performance, and the latest I-DC5, which allows for delicate brake control over a wide range, the long distance casting performance and trouble free performance have been elevated to a higher level. This is the flagship model of circular bait casting reels, featuring the latest technology for comfortable casting and control.

MGL SPOOL Ⅳ

Features the latest Magnum Light Spool IV, which creates a balanced line lay by employing a reverse tapered spool shape. By winding line evenly, it minimizes wobble during rotation, maximizes the spool's rotational performance, and contributes to outstanding casting performance. While the exceptional long distance casting capability achieved through precise electronic control is a major appeal of DC-brake models, the addition of the Magnum Light Spool IV achieves both a long-distance casting feel that extends smoothly and high castability that handles pinpoint casting on a low trajectory with ease. Furthermore, compared to the 20 Calcutta Conquest DC, the spool diameter for the 100 size has been increased from φ33 to φ34. This boosts the maximum line capacity to MG: 58 → 60cm and HG: 70 → 79cm.

I-DC5

Features the latest I-DC5, enabling precise brake adjustments using only the external dial. The previous ID-C5 set brake force in 5 steps for each line type (nylon, PE, fluorocarbon). This has been changed to 3 modes (L: Low, M: Medium, H: High) × 5 steps. This 15 steps configuration provides a wider brake force range and enables even finer adjustments. Consequently, you can now directly set the brake force suited to the situation and purpose, regardless of line type. This ensures trouble free setup and also allows pursuit of even greater casting distance. Combined with the Magnum Light Spool IV, it further expands the range of adaptable situations, from long distance casting to low trajectory casts.

Low Profile 

Compared to the 20 Calcutta Conquest DC, the body has been made more compact. The lower spool position achieved through the body's low profile design allows for a more natural grip. Reduced interference with the thumb due to spool height increases wrist freedom, enabling flexible and precise casting.
