MGL SPOOL Ⅲ

While the spool diameter is 38mm like its predecessor, the width has been narrowed by 1mm to 21mm. The brake system is equipped with the New 4×8 DC MD TUNE, whose settings have been redesigned to optimize the MGL Spool III, which has achieved low inertia. We thoroughly analyzed a vast amount of data obtained through repeated testing and trial and error. We have achieved exceptional brake control accuracy. This reduces backlash while maximizing spool rotation loss, directly leading to high long cast performance that seems to go anywhere. The internal dial has four levels: F (fluorocarbon), P (PE), and N (nylon) modes, as well as XB mode, which is a mode for casting large lures and long lines that have air resistance. Once the setting is determined according to the line and lure used, all that remains is to fine-tune the 8-step external dial to achieve comfortable casting.
The number of bearings is 12 in total, one more than the conventional 11. One more bearing has been added to the support of the drive gear shaft, which is the key to the driving force, greatly improving the rigidity of the handle when reeling in.
