The original S-shaped lineage
The jointed claw is a realistic representation of the Japanese dace, which is a bait fish for big bass throughout the year. While the original Jointed Claw had a wide and relaxed S-stroke action, the Jointed Claw Kai 148 has a slightly narrower swing and a high pitch S-stroke action. This allows the lure to appeal to big bass and get them to bite even in tight spots. In addition, the new 148 is one size smaller than the original size, so it is very effective in areas where big baits have been sluggish and in wild ponds.
