Kohoku SP is a color that was born more than 20 years ago, when Yuki Ito was attacking Lake Biwa by bass boat. The whole body is based on a lightly glowing purple pearl, topped with a hint of dark green on the back. It appeals to anglers with its mysterious glow in the water. This image is similar to the color of the spawning beds in the northern part of Lake Biwa as seen from the top of a bass boat, hence the name "Kohoku Special". It is most effective in the early spring when the water temperature is low. It is also very effective in shallow areas with muddy bamboo grass, and produces explosive catches when the water starts to clear up. The Live X Revenge in this color, and the method of using the old Deep X 100 and 200 in slow motion to lure big bass, was one of Ito's favorite patterns at the time. It later became popular after Ito publicized it in a magazine, and many fans have a collection of products in this color. It is one of Megabass' most memorable color patterns of all time.
